The Phyllo-Wrapped Banana, it is a very unique way to enjoy banana. The crispy and perfectly sweet dessert.
Don’t be scared, it’s awesome!
- 4 sheets phyllo pastry
- 2 Tbsp. melted butter
- 2 medium bananas, peeled
- 3/4 cup whipping cream
- 2 Tsp cinnamon powder
- oil for frying
Warm the oil in a saucepan. Meanwhile, cut each sheet of phyllo pastry in half vertically.
Brush each sheets of phyllo pastry lightly with butter.
Sprinkle over some cinnamon, then put the banana at the bottom of a halved filo sheet. Roll up and around the banana, folding in the sides with each roll so that they look like a spring roll.
Deep-fry rolls only do two at a time to not “crowd the pan” , Gently turn in the oil until all sides are a golden brown, approximately 2-3 minutes. Remove to a paper towel lined plate.
Slice in half and serve with whipped cream or ice cream.
